The Katanning Landcare Centre will be holding two events for families as part of the National Science week. This year we are celebrating Water and we certainly have had lots of it this winter!

Come and Join us at Piesse Park – Katanning to learn about what is living underneath the waters surface with a local expert and Environmental scientist.

We will use a hydrophone (underwater microphone) to listen to the unusual sounds occurring underwater, and then use macroinvertebrate sampling techniques to identify the range of species present -hopefully working out who’s “voice” is adding which sound to the “chorus”.
