This year was a romantic start to Valentines day for those who joined the post Fox Shoot Tally Breakfast, with great results for the year, adding to the state-wide Red Card for Rabbits and Foxes total for 2021. This year the Sporting Shooters Association Australia, Western Australia (SSAAWA) will be donating $5 for every fox and cat culled up to $20,000 to the Regional Men’s Health Initiative – a program aimed at raising awareness for Men’s health in regional communities. Based on the totals for the day $350 will go to the program.

We had 4 keen teams this year with the venue in the Kowald’s shearing shed.

The hungry teams were met with a hot breakfast from funds for breakfast donated by WAMMCO and supplied at a discount from Regional Retailers – cooked on the BBQ provided by Katanning H Hardware,  and cooked by Katanning Landcare volunteers.

In the past 10 Years 1280 foxes and 71 Cats have been culled in this annual event which is a great addition to the fox baiting and control measures being put in place by land holders.
