Are you excited about the creation of a Green Heart for Katanning?

An example of an urban wetland. How Piesse Lake may look. (High-rises not included.)

A vegetated shady walk with glimpses of the lake through the reeds and trees.

Another example of man-made wetlands.

Maybe surprise a turtle as you walk, or watch blue and red dragon flies hunting bugs.

How Piesse Lake and the Katanning Creek may look as we naturalise and vegetate it.

Perhaps you would like a quiet seat to watch the birds or read a book.

Paths, trees, open spaces and water, all in lovely balance for people to enjoy. Our vision for Piesse Lake.

We have the opportunity to make this dream a reality.

In June 2017 the Piesse lake makeover begins. Together we will transform Piesse Lake from this bare space to a green oasis!
